Last week 70 Year 11 students visited Salford University for the day. After a presentation in the lecture theatre students took part in workshops, delivered presentations, had a campus tour and were treated to lunch in the Maxwell building at the University.
The workshops included discussions about university courses and various pathways. Presentations outlined the differences between Higher Education, Colleges and Vocational Courses. Later in the day the students created a pitch to entice University students to become part of their own “Society”. Students delivered their presentations with real enthusiasm and were rewarded with Salford University branded chocolates! Gabriella Law Mantelvanos said “It was an eye opening experience which gave me a real insight into university life”.
