From next year Cameron Pilkington will be fulfilling his dream of becoming a full time trainee racing cyclist. He is one of only a handful of young people who will be given the opportunity to train alongside the British Team. National Schools of Racing are a new initiative developed by British Cycling which supports cyclists to progress into Great Britain Cycling Team programmes. Cameron is a member of Mossley Cycle Racing Team and is ranked 11th in the country within his category. He also recently came 8th in the National Championships. When asked about what he is looking forward to most Cameron said “I can’t wait to progress into European level races.” Well done Cameron please keep us all posted.
